Our HSE Program

Zero Harm

For us, Zero Harm means that you are actually better off (mentally, physically, financially) as a result of working as part of our team.  We want you to thrive as a person whilst working for us.  We recognise that this isn’t easy and we must continuously improve our work environment, our HSE practises and maintain a culture where we focus on “what’s important now?” We have partnered with Sentis, a leader in getting the best out of people, to assist us on our journey to safely grow better crops for a better future.

Individual

We actively promote the thinking that our safety program shouldn’t be about protecting you from something, but protect you for something. We are focused on everyone committing to take personal control of and responsibility for safety so you can engage with the things you enjoy, your Personal Big 5.

Practices

Viridis Ag operate an integrated Health, Safety and Environmental Management System which is aligned to international systems standards ISO 14001 Environmental Management Systems and ISO 45001 Health and Safety Management Systems.

Key to our practices is a commitment to:

  • A continuous improvement approach to risk management, underpinned with evidence based problem solving and controls
  • Seeking out and implementing best practice approaches from across industry
  • Monitoring and acting upon both lead and lag performance indicators

Environment

As a platform for our journey to Zero Harm, Viridis Ag invests in implementing sustainable farming operations through developing industry leading working environments. Our approach includes maintaining safe & efficient plant, equipment, buildings and infrastructure across our properties, with a strong focus on preventative maintenance activities.

To achieve Zero Harm everybody needs to take responsibility – we can work to a high standard whilst seeking constant and never ending improvement.

  • Risk Awareness - I see it, I manage it
